Job Summary: Island Life Early Learning Centre is currently looking for a substitute educator to join our team working with children ages 1 to 5 years old. The position will be 8 hours per day on Friday as well as on call shifts. The chosen applicants will have the opportunity to grow with our company!
Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education (ECE), Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) or Responsible Adult License
- Clear criminal record check
- Two personal references
- Immunization record
- Experience working with children 1 to 5 years old
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Have a clear understanding of the Child Care Rules and Regulations and the Child Care Facility Policies and Procedures
- Be patient, warm and caring towards all families, children and co-workers
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbally
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of age appropriate activities
- Ability to provide a calm and positive role model to children
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and ensure everyone's dignity
- Ability to work as a member of the team
- Ability to establish and maintain strong and supportive relationships with parents, children and co-workers
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $18.00-$28.00 per hour
