Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced restaurant environment where excellent customer service and food quality are top priorities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety practices, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery
- Support team members with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, cashiering, or the food industry is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and guests
- Fluent Spanish ability is considered an asset.
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and days.
