Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, and home care environments. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions across diverse populations, including pediatrics and adult patients
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and assist with pain management procedures
- Document patient encounters accurately using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Assist in developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Collect data for research purposes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Provide patient education on health management, medication use, and home care instructions
- Perform basic procedures related to patient care, including medication administration and wound care
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient support in hospital, outpatient, or home settings
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant certification/license in the state of practice
- Proven experience with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Prior hospital experience or acute care background preferred
- Experience in pain management, pediatrics, or home care is a plus
- Skills in research data collection and analysis are advantageous
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic clinical procedures
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical practices
Pay: $40.00-$61.80 per hour
