Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various settings, including hospital, outpatient, and home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, utilizing advanced medical skills and electronic health record systems to deliver high-quality healthcare services. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions across diverse populations, including pediatrics and adult patients
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and assist with pain management procedures
- Document patient encounters accurately using electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Assist in developing treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Collect data for research purposes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Provide patient education on health management, medication use, and home care instructions
- Perform basic procedures related to patient care, including medication administration and wound care
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient support in hospital, outpatient, or home settings
Requirements
- Valid Physician Assistant certification/license in the state of practice
- Proven experience with electronic medical records systems such as Epic and Cerner
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Prior hospital experience or acute care background preferred
- Experience in pain management, pediatrics, or home care is a plus
- Skills in research data collection and analysis are advantageous
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic clinical procedures
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with medical practices
Pay: $40.00-$61.80 per hour
