Overview
Millwoods Acupuncture Centre is seeking a passionate and professional Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our multidisciplinary clinic. We are looking for a therapist who can commit to a minimum of four full days per week, with availability during our core clinic hours of Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (This is a flexible requirement).
Additional days and evening opportunities may be available for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Registered and in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory college.
- Professional liability insurance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct professional massage therapy sessions tailored to individual client needs, including relaxation, deep tissue, cupping, and hot stone
- Assess clients’ health history and discuss treatment goals to develop personalized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records following professional standards and legal requirements
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards in all treatment areas to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Manage client flow efficiently, and provide excellent customer service throughout each session
- Stay informed about the latest massage therapy techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain treatment procedures and address client concerns.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to listen actively and adapt treatments based on individual client needs.
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
- Certification as a Licensed Massage Therapist in accordance with provincial regulations.
