CA$41,600 – CA$45,760 per year (40 hours per week) · Extended health benefits · Full-time, permanent

Who we are
Verge Immigration Services Inc. is a Winnipeg immigration firm led by Jatinder Singh, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants. We have supported more than 1,000 clients across work permits, study permits, permanent residence, Super Visas, provincial nominee programs, and refused and complex files. Our Winnipeg office holds a 4.9-star rating across more than 460 verified Google reviews and was named the #1 rated immigration consultant in Winnipeg in 2025. We also serve clients from a second office in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
We built this practice on one rule: clients get the facts and the law, never false promises. We expect the same standard from everyone on the team.
What makes this role different
We are a small team, so there is no layer of supervision between you and the work. You will sit across from the RCIC every day, carry your own caseload from first consultation to final decision, and see the full range of programs rather than one narrow slice. If you want to build real depth in Canadian immigration practice, this is the seat to do it from.
What you will do
- Manage a caseload of temporary and permanent residence files, tracking every deadline, expiry, and next step
- Prepare and assemble applications: work permits, study permits, visitor records and extensions, Super Visas, Express Entry, provincial nominee streams, spousal and family sponsorship, and citizenship
- Draft submission letters, supporting documents, and client correspondence in clear, accurate written English
- Review and verify client documents for completeness and consistency before anything is submitted
- Manage IRCC Portal, PR Portal, and Employer Portal accounts, and monitor files for updates and requests
- Communicate with clients by phone, email, and in person, setting honest expectations and keeping people informed about where their file stands
- Maintain accurate, current records in our case management system
- Support the RCIC on complex and refused files, including evidence for reconsideration requests and procedural fairness responses
- Track IRCC and Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program policy changes that affect our clients
What you need
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience preparing Canadian immigration applications
- Post-secondary education: a degree, an Immigration Practitioner or RCIC diploma, or a legal assistant or paralegal program
- Working knowledge of IRCC programs, forms, and online portals
- Excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to draft a clean submission letter without heavy editing
- The organizational discipline to run a deadline-driven caseload without dropping details
- Sound judgment and discretion with confidential client information
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Nice to have
- Experience with Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) streams
- Experience on refused, complex, or reconsideration files
- Fluency in Punjabi, Hindi, or another language spoken by our client base
- Familiarity with immigration case management software
- An interest in pursuing RCIC licensing, which we will support for the right person
What we offer
- CA$41,600 to CA$45,760 per year, based on experience and skills
- Extended health benefits
- Daily mentorship from a licensed RCIC and in-house training
- Support toward RCIC licensing if that is your goal
- A downtown Winnipeg office on St. Mary Avenue, on major transit routes
