POSITION SUMMARY
The Creamer Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining creaming equipment to ensure the consistent mixing and preparation of product fillings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Production Setup
- Conduct pre-production inspections to ensure creaming machines and raw materials are ready for operation.
- Prepare and stage raw materials according to product specifications and production requirements.
- Perform equipment setup, calibrations, and initial adjustments to ensure optimal mixing consistency.
Production Operations
- Operate, monitor, and adjust creaming machines to maintain proper mixing and consistency of fillings.
- Track and record processing parameters, including batch yields and ingredient usage, to ensure production accuracy.
- Based on the results of the sampling, the operator must adjust the machine to meet the creamed specifications for the product.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues, escalating to Maintenance when necessary.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain product integrity and adherence to food safety standards.
Post-Production & Maintenance
- Conduct changeovers, shutdowns, and disassembly procedures; ensure all creamer equipment, including the cream hopper and components, is thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and reassembled as required. Perform washing, disinfecting, and de-greasing (foam cleaning when necessary) in full compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Documentation & Compliance
- Report on any food safety, quality issues, suspicious activity to the line Supervisor and/or Shift Manager.
- Reports to Line Supervisor and/or Shift Manager.
- Accurately complete all required documentation and production logs.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and GMP protocols.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience operating food processing or mixing equipment in a manufacturing setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical education or training in mechanical systems, engineering, or food processing.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Technical Proficiency: Strong ability to operate, set up, change over, and perform minor repairs on various equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to inspect and maintain equipment to ensure efficient operation and compliance with food safety standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying and troubleshooting mechanical or operational issues efficiently.
- Organizational Skills: Maintain inventory and ensure cleanliness and order in workspaces.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to document processes and report issues accurately.
- Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively within a team.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment (Bakery floor)
- Standing: Remain on feet for extended periods during shift operations.
- Heavy Lifting & Manual Handling: Ability to lift, push, and pull materials and equipment as required.
- Manual Dexterity: Perform precise motor movements to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot machine components.
- Visual Inspection: Continuously monitor product quality and machine performance to ensure compliance with standards.
ADDINTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- In the event of reduced production, the supervisor may assign other reasonable tasks to the Creamer Operator.
