NOW HIRING: Experienced Dog Groomer

We are looking for an experienced, reliable, safety-focused Dog Groomer to join our growing pet services shop in Taber, Alberta. All tools and equipment are supplied. Our shop culture is supportive, fun, welcoming, inclusive, and dedicated to the comfort, safety, and welfare of our furry clients. Dog Groomer reports to the Shop Manager.
This is a part-time hourly employee position with a supportive team environment, established clientele, and a strong focus on compassionate, one-on-one care. We are looking for someone 18+ who takes pride in their work, handles pets with patience and kindness, and wants to be part of a positive, community-minded shop.
Position Details:
- Pay: $18+/hr, based on experience & skill level, with pay raise after a successful review period. Groomer keeps tips.
- Hours: Part-time; shop is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–4pm (Thurs 10am-6pm)
- Availability: Minimum 4 days per week, and 2 evenings per week

The right person will be able to complete quality PET dog grooms from start to finish safely and efficiently, communicate kindly with clients, maintain clean work areas, follow shop policies, and contribute to a respectful, team-focused workplace. We are pet groomers, not show groomers, but knowledge of breed standards is an asset. Experience with a variety of coat types, sizes, and temperaments is preferred. Certification is an asset but not required; proven skill, safe handling, reliability, and professionalism matter most.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced in full-service dog grooming
- Confident completing grooms from start to finish (from bath to scissor)
- Cleaning ears, clipping nails, and performing other grooming tasks as needed
- Gentle, patient, and safety-focused with pets
- Handling dogs safely and gently to ensure a low-stress experience
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and care instructions
- Willing to follow Pawparazzi policies and handling standards
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods
- Able to maintain an organized, sanitized grooming area
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to ensure timely service delivery
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, friendly, respectful, with a sense of humor and fun
