Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to provide excellent customer service at our retail location. The ideal candidate will efficiently handle transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean and organized station environment. Bilingual skills and familiarity with retail sales, POS systems, and basic math are highly valued to ensure smooth operations and positive customer interactions.
Duties
- Operate cash register and POS system accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, including fuel, snacks, beverages, and other retail items
- Perform upselling of products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, store shelves, and checkout counters
- Conduct product demos or merchandising as needed to promote new or featured items
- Manage inventory levels and restock shelves to ensure product availability
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with company policies
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic math for accurate cash handling and transactions
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Organizational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Ability to perform product demos or merchandising tasks confidently
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or merchandising is desirable but not required
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
