Key Roles and Responsibilities
Researcher in Hydrometallurgy, Separation Sciences and/or Analytical Chemistry
- Research: Separation & Processing Sciences: REE, Li, Au, Ni, Co, critical and battery materials, ceramics
- Perform research and process engineering tasks.
- Design of experiment to meet requirements of proposed program
- Analysis of data, communicate and determination of direction of testing program
- Upon completion of the program, analyze and present the data in a format suitable for presentation in a final report
- Prepare technical reports for projects
- Supports the development of a new marketing plan. Plans include channel strategy, creative development and time to market.
- Project Management
- Eligible for MITACS support
Qualifications and Experience
- Ph.D. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, or a closely related field
- Strong background in composite materials, ceramics, or fracture mechanics
- Hands-on experience with mechanical testing systems
- Project management and customer-oriented
