Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dynamic finance team and contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organization. Candidates should possess strong expertise in various accounting software and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Perform account reconciliations and account analysis to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Lead budgeting processes, forecast financial performance, and monitor variances against budgets
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage and other platforms to maintain accurate records
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training on accounting procedures and software tools
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage and other relevant platforms
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgeting processes
- Expertise in account reconciliation and account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Leadership skills to supervise and develop a finance team

- Accounting Manager role in Canada: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
