Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen during service hours. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Supervise and assist line cooks and kitchen staff during shifts to ensure efficiency and quality
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
- Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant standards
- Collaborate with management on menu updates, special events, and operational improvements
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong background in meal preparation, food safety, and kitchen operations
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a culinary environment is preferred
- Knowledge of serving standards, food handling procedures, and restaurant best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
- Familiarity with various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment is essential
