SUMMARY
Mi Stoney Creek Hydraulics specializes in custom design & build cylinders and the overhaul of medium to large industrial hydraulic cylinders. The Shop Foreman provides high quality technical work while assists in scheduling and directing the workload for maximum efficiency and productivity. This is a hands-on role. Our service shop foreman spends 70-90% of their time on the shop floor working on the tools with the team and mentor training a group of skilled hydraulic cylinder technicians. Candidates must possess a significant knowledge of hydraulics and have proven experience in hydraulic cylinder teardown, inspection, assessment, development of repair scopes, assembly and testing.
JOB DUTIES

Assist in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the branch or shop.

Provides direction to shop team on duties, schedule, and priorities.

Communicates effectively with customers, service coordinators, engineering, management, and the cylinder repair team.

Reviews repair orders for accuracy and completeness.

Responsible for Quality of Work including test reporting, task completion, and paperwork flow.

Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes.

Works in cooperation with other areas to provide quality, seamless customer service.

Assists the branch or shop where needed, including possible off-site field service and large job consultations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED

Minimum of five (5) years of related experience specifically with industrial hydraulic cylinders
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Specific knowledge of the shop's industry required.

Knowledge of all proper job site health and safety policies required.

Ability to maintain a positive attitude and productive, driven work ethic required.

Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.

Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
