Masrawy Egyptian Kitchen (Masrawy) has established itself as the cuisine of selection for Middle Eastern and Egyptian “SOUL” food. Masrawy has continued to take the middle eastern cuisine by storm with its popularity and buzz and has truly cemented its place among the best restaurants in the GTA.
Job Purpose
The Server will be comprised of staff whom are capable of being servers, food runners, server assistants, or administrative support to the kitchen and management staff.
Job Duties
· Take orders for guests
· Serve food and drinks to guests
· Greet all guests immediately when they come in and when they are leaving
· Thank guests for coming and invite them for return
· Arrange seating in rotation among other support staff to ensure guests are seated comfortably
· Update floor chart regularly based on customer volume
· Clean menus as required throughout shift
· Observe tables and take note if anything needs to be cleaned for occupation
· Ensure front door area and main seating area are kept clean, this includes cleaning windows from any fingerprint and smudges; exercise sanitary cleaning measures as directed by restaurant guidelines
· Inform management if guests are unhappy with service as quickly as possible
· Maintain composed, professional and calm attitude when dealing with fellow staff and, especially, when dealing with all customers.
Qualifications
· Proficient in English (Arabic is an asset)
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· High and positive energy
· Thorough, efficient and organized
· Punctual and professional
· Ability to stand and move quickly for several hours
· Ability to take on tasks within and outside of job-specific duties
