Minconsult Exploration Services is accepting applications for Core Cutters/General Labourers, with duties as outlined below, to join our team for the 2026 field season at an exploration project based in Whitehorse, Yukon. Job Overview
As a Core Cutter/General Labourer you will provide project support as outlined below. This position is based in Whitehorse, Yukon, so hiring locally is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process and split drill core using a core saw
- Bag, label, and organize core samples for laboratory shipment
- Assist the Geological Department with day-to-day operational support
- Assist with basic construction and repairs around camp
- Perform general camp labour duties as required
Reuirements
- Previous core cutting or drill core processing experience is an asset
- Experience in mineral exploration labour is an asset
- Ability to perform physically demanding work over extended hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond
- Equipment operation and/or basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical skills are an asset
- Training will be provided for the right candidates ‚ a willingness to learn is essential
Various start dates are available over for qualified candidates with some positions available to start immediately.
Compensation: Dependant on experience
Preference will be given to individuals located in Yukon due to location of work.
