Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Labourer/Apprentice to join our construction team. Duties
- Assist with construction tasks such as framing, concrete forming, finishing, and tile laying under supervision
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution
- Support carpentry tasks including cabinet installation and flooring installation
- Perform demolition, restoration work, and site cleanup to maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with electrical and plumbing installations as needed
- Apply caulking, masonry techniques, and construction painting to meet project specifications
- Support estimating activities by gathering measurements and preparing material lists
- Learn to operate heavy machinery and equipment relevant to construction projects
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating is a plus but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials preferred
- Prior experience or training in carpentry, masonry, welding, or flooring installation is advantageous
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics is beneficial
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills across various trades
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently on job sites
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and working at heights if required
- Reliable transportation or access to job sites; valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants
