EOR Canada is seeking a junior hydrogeologist who is looking to join a growing team of engineer and design professionals. The role builds on our existing presence with extensive support from EOR headquarters, a North American leader in innovative stormwater planning and design. With this opportunity, you can be part of a team bringing new concepts and ideas to planning and design projects to benefit our water and ecology, and to support healthier communities.
The position will include a mixture of field work and office work. Field work responsibilities may include (depending on experience level) soils classification, groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation, groundwater level measurements, aquifer testing, construction inspection, Phase I and II environmental site assessments, and general field data recording. Office duties will include data management and data analysis using a variety of software, preparing well logs, groundwater modeling, report writing, and marketing support.

Education/Experience:
- B.A. or B.S. in geology, geological engineering, geotechnical engineering, groundwater hydrology, or related field required
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on challenging terrain
- Able to carry, lift or pull equipment and materials weighing up to 40 pounds over long distance
- Capacity to work remotely with coworkers and clients across Canada and the USA
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S. or Ph.D. preferred
- Mining industry experience
- Geotechnical experience (Soil classifications, designing subsurface investigations, subcontracting drilling companies, interpreting geotechnical reports)
- Groundwater chemistry (drinking water quality, redox reactions, stable isotope analysis, etc.)
- Groundwater modeling using software such as AQTESOLV, MODFLOW (e.g., Vistas, FlowPy, ModelMuse), GFLOW, or MLAEM
- Data management and mapping skills using GIS, GPS, AutoCAD, etc. are required, but can be learned on the job
- Surface water modeling
- Experience with groundwater/surface water interactions
- Construction engineering (Dewatering, slope stability, etc.)
- Experience in project management preferred
