PAINT PREPARATION
The company is currently recruiting for a Paint Prepper to join our team on the day shift. The painter Prep reports directly to the supervisor.
Job Duties:
- Communicate with administrative, plant and supervisory staff as required.
- Report any deficiencies in systems, facilities, machinery, equipment and/or tools immediately to your supervisor.
- Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required.
- Review production schedule, including special instructions
- Ensure proper paint is utilized.
- Paint all required sides of profile.
- Keep work area clean
- Maintain a safe workplace
- Ensure paint gun is cleaned
- Inspect surface finish (i.e. missed paint surfaces, overspray, etc), advise Supervisor and/or Plant Manager as appropriate.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilograms.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a high school diploma (OSSD) or related equivalent experience
- Minimum two years experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Preferably minimum one year experience with painting prepping.
