Banas Stones is a leading supplier of premium natural stone and porcelain products serving homeowners, contractors, dealers, and landscape professionals across Canada and the US. We are looking for an experienced Yard Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our 10-acre stone yard and ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of our 10-acre natural stone and porcelain yard.
- Lead, train, and support yard staff to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of customer orders and incoming shipments.
- Ensure orders are picked accurately and prepared on time.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with regular inventory counts.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of forklifts, loaders, and other yard equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard at all times.
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with the sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Monitor equipment and report maintenance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a yard, warehouse, construction materials, masonry, landscape supply, or similar industry.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience is required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead a team and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's licence.
