Position Overview
As an Admin / Shoe Fitter, you will play an important role in both the administrative and patient care sides of the clinic. You will help patients navigate appointments, insurance processes, footwear fittings, and product recommendations while ensuring the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently.
No previous shoe fitting experience is required. Comprehensive training will be provided by our team.
Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative Duties
- Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
- Schedule and manage appointments
- Conduct appointment confirmation calls
- Follow up with patients regarding treatment and product needs
- Process paperwork and insurance claims
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain coverage information
- Communicate with referring physician offices
- Work with podiatrists to answer patient questions regarding treatment and aftercare
- Perform general administrative duties as required
Patient Care & Retail Duties
- Assist patients with footwear, compression socks, braces, and other foot care products
- Discuss the clinic's full range of products and services with patients
- Fit patients for orthotic friendly and therapeutic footwear
- Discuss off-the-shelf and medical foot devices
- Identify common foot conditions and understand products that may assist patient mobility and comfort
- Follow guidance provided by clinic podiatrists and pedorthists when selecting footwear and devices
- Ensure fittings meet the recommendations of the treating professional and the needs of the patient
- Manage merchandise returns and exchanges
Clinic Operations
- Help bring patients to treatment rooms at appointment time
- Keep the clinic clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist with maintaining retail displays and inventory presentation
- Perform other duties as required to support the clinic team
