Kia 417 is currently looking for an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our growing team with the ability to build your career. The ideal candidate should have a strong mechanical aptitude along with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The Automotive Apprentice will be responsible for working alongside with assigned technicians to learn and perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.

Responsibilities:
- Works alongside an assigned technician to learn to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.
- Assists assigned technician as needed.
- Delivers customer cars to service stalls as requested by technicians.
- Picks up parts from the parts department as directed by technicians.
- Performs safety inspections, oil changes, lubrication work, basic maintenance and minor repairs as directed.
- Replenishes supplies as requested by technicians or service manager.
- Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Attends training classes and departmental meetings.
- Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Open minded willingness to learn
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have a valid Ontario/Quebec driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Must be physically able to lift 50lbs and able to bend, squat, crouch, reach as job requires
- Knowledge and use of power, machine and hand tools
- Ability to effectively communicate automotive issues clearly
