About the Role:
TechElectric Automation is currently seeking a skilled, dependable, and versatile Licensed Millwright to join our growing team. This position involves daily travel to customer sites throughout Southern Ontario. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for completing installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities independently while maintaining high safety and workmanship standards.
Responsibilities:
As a Millwright at TechElectric Automation, your responsibilities will include:
- Aligning, assembling, and installing industrial machinery and equipment
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and production equipment
- Replacing defective components and adjusting equipment to maintain proper operation
- Dismantling, rigging, and relocating machinery as required
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine work procedures
- Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
- Supporting equipment shutdowns, installations, and commissioning activities
- Following and promoting safe work practices at all times
- Completing work efficiently while meeting project timelines and customer expectations
- Collaborating with electricians, automation technicians, and other tradespeople on site
- Maintaining accurate service documentation and communicating effectively with customers and supervisors
- Valid Class G driver’s license required
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a licensed Millwright
- Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification
- Experience working in industrial and manufacturing environments
- Ability to independently read and interpret shop drawings and schematics
- Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, production equipment, and material handling systems considered an asset
- Working at Heights certification considered an asset
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Working Environment:
- Daily travel to customer and industrial sites throughout Southern Ontario
- Varied working environments including manufacturing facilities and construction sites
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding work
- Overtime and occasional after-hours work may be required to support customer operations and project deadlines
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a permanent full-time position based on a 44-hour work week. Overtime may be required periodically.
Pay: $38.00–$44.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
