You will play a critical role in expanding and supporting Novus’ outside plant growth strategy. You’ll manage the end-to-end
coordination of projects and support your colleagues on theirs, to ensure seamless service delivery from project inception to
completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate a variety of different telecom projects from inception to completion while providing project
updates\feedback to the VP, Network Construction on an ongoing basis
- Attend client meetings, with developers, consultants, electricians, contractors and assist with determination of
project requirements considering company objectives and client requirements
- Meet with developer(s) contractor(s) to coordinate building network installation for new construction buildings
- Contracting the appropriate subcontractors for projects/installs such as power outlets, conduit installations, fiber
placing and splicing.
- Complete and submitted civil permit designs and fibre placing design drawings for approval
- Perform building audits to compile and relay relevant audit and design information to the GIS Project Manager and\or
other colleagues
- Complete fibre locating requests as needed when construction is planned near existing network or where it might
interfere with existing Novus structure
- Support the Planning, Construction and Maintenance teams acting as field support for all crew activities
- Order Materials as per building and network design and specifications outlined by the VP, Network Construction
- Liaise with building managers or/and property managers for scheduling purposes
- Receive/issue PO’s, check shipments, sign off and keep track of shipments as they arrive
- Troubleshoot and solve problems related to building, network and civil permitting
- Monitor, oversee and report on field crew OHS compliance
- Perform general administrative and record keeping functions
- Function as stand-in for members of the construction or maintenance teams as required
Qualifications
- Preference for candidates with PMP® certification
- Preference for candidates with minimum 5 Years of experience working with telecommunications or outside plant
operations of a fibre optic network or
- Preference for candidates who’ve completed post-secondary education in Telecom, Construction, Engineering or
related discipline an asset or equivalent field experience
- Complete understanding of civil permitting designs, methods of construction, tender processes and budgeting
- Complete understanding of fibre optic networks including aerial and underground construction, splicing, permitting,
DWDM and CWDM networks
- Passion for safety of employees, contractors and the general public
- Strong knowledge of MS Office 365 including Word, Excel, Teams and Co-pilot
- AutoCAD & Sales Force knowledge is a requirement for this role
- Valid driver's license required
