Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Flooring Sales Consultant to join our showroom team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting walk-in customers and responding to online sales inquiries, guiding clients through product selections, managing sales opportunities from consultation to completion, and building long-term relationships with customers.
This position is primarily based in our retail showroom, where providing exceptional customer service to walk-in customers and following up on online leads are key responsibilities. Occasional site visits may be required to measure spaces, assess project requirements, and support customers throughout the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to understand their flooring needs, preferences, and project goals.
- Provide expert recommendations on flooring materials, styles, colours, and design options.
- Assist customers in selecting the best products based on their needs, budget, and lifestyle.
- Conduct on-site measurements and assessments to determine project requirements.
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and sales agreements.
- Manage the sales process from initial consultation through installation completion.
- Coordinate with installation teams to ensure projects are completed smoothly and customers receive excellent service.
- Follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain knowledge of flooring products, industry trends, and new technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales experience (flooring experience required).
- Strong knowledge of flooring products, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build lasting relationships.
- Computer skills, including experience with Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and general data entry tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.
