Position Summary
Our client, a well-established underground mining operation, is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Production Supervisor to oversee safe, efficient, and productive underground mining operations. Reporting to the Mine Superintendent, you will lead underground crews, coordinate personnel and equipment, monitor production targets, enforce health and safety standards, and ensure compliance with mining regulations. You will work closely with maintenance, engineering, and other departments while completing shift reports, conducting safety audits, investigating incidents, mentoring employees, and driving continuous improvements in operational performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in underground mining, heavy manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment.
- Previous front-line supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario Occupational Health & Safety legislation.
- Working knowledge of mining regulations and underground mining operations.
- Mining Common Core and/or Supervisory Common Core certifications are considered strong assets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to work a rotating schedule including days, nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
Pay: $117,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
