We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator.On site living accommodations may be available, if interested. The Plant Operator is responsible for operating in a safe and efficient manner, while ensuring the quality of the final products. The Plant Operator will need to supervise a small team of individuals and ensure everyone adheres to all safety policies and practices. The role demands flexibility in work hours to accommodate the operational needs of the plant.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain asphalt plant equipment.
- Monitor and adjust plant operations to produce asphalt products within specifications.
- Maintain a working knowledge of industry advancements.
- Work as a liaison with the customers to maintain high levels of customer service satisfaction.
- Lead a team of up to three individuals, providing guidance and direction.
- Conduct routine quality checks on asphalt products to meet industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and quality control results.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment.
Skills:
- Minimum of two years previous experience operating Asphalt Plants or similar heavy equipment.
- Knowledge of asphalt production processes, equipment, and quality control measures.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility in working hours and the ability to adapt to changing operational demands.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation to site.
- Must have the physical strength, stamina and coordination to complete the assigned duties.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be comfortable working around heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
