GENERAL CARPENTER TEAM LEAD
We are hiring an experienced General Carpenter Team Lead to lead crews and deliver high-quality residential and commercial renovation work.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a strong carpenter who can build, problem-solve, and set the standard on site. You will be responsible for leading daily field operations while actively participating in the work, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of workmanship.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead and work alongside carpenters, apprentices, and labourers on active job sites
- Plan, assign, and coordinate daily work to keep projects on schedule
- Perform a wide range of carpentry work including framing, structural modifications, renovations, and general construction
- Complete doors, windows, trim, millwork, backing, blocking, and finishing carpentry as required
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Coordinate with Project Managers and subcontractors to maintain workflow and site progress
- Identify and solve site issues quickly to avoid delays and rework
- Ensure work is completed safely, cleanly, and to company quality standards
- Support project closeout, deficiency completion, and site turnover
- Train and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members
WHAT WE EXPECT
- 5+ years of carpentry experience in residential and/or commercial construction
- Previous experience leading crews or acting as a lead hand
- Strong knowledge of framing, renovations, and general construction methods
- Ability to read drawings and execute work with accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt on site
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping work on schedule
- Strong communication and leadership presence
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
