Love Soluble Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable organization that has established a group home treatment center known as the Manie Daniel’s Center. The facility, which is designed to accommodate eight beds and employs an abstinence-only approach, is located in Maberly Ontario. The Manie Daniels Center employs a comprehensive model for addressing addiction and recidivism, offering treatment within a residential and communal living environment.
Overview
The ideal candidate must have experience in the addictions field and play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to pre-sentenced incarcerated men who are seeking recovery from substance use disorder. We believe every individual deserves the opportunity to heal from addiction and lead a fulfilling life in recovery, and we are committed to helping our clients achieve this goal.
Skills & Duties: Position is In-Person Only.
- Assist with daily living activities and transportation to appointments and AA/NA/CA Meetings.
- Participate in service development discussions, team meetings, and training sessions.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote team building and enhance quality of life.
- Collaborate with staff to provide compassionate care and equip our clients with the tools and skills to successfully reintegrate into society.
- The ability to document incidents and shift reports is a mandatory requirement.
Assets
- Experience and knowledge in the addictions field is mandatory.
- Excellent emotional health and a balanced sense of self, serving as a positive role model for clients and peers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, open-minded, non-judgmental, and committed to professional growth and learning.
- Non-violent crisis intervention, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
- A Valid G driver's license is mandatory. Reliable and efficient transportation is needed as the treatment center is in a remote area.
- Disclosure of criminal convictions. (Criminal record will not exclude candidates)
- Personal lived experience with addiction and active participation in a recovery program with a minimum of two (2) years in recovery is considered an asset.
