Promotions Assistant
The Promotions Assistant supports the execution of marketing, promotional, and event initiatives across multiple properties. This hands-on role focuses on preparing marketing materials, assisting with event setup and décor, creating basic digital content, and ensuring promotional campaigns are implemented accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate is organized, creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing office work with physical tasks related to events and marketing production.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Production & Materials
- Print, cut, fold, staple, tape, laminate, and assemble menus, tent cards, promotional materials, and signage
- Prepare and distribute takeout menus and ensure displays remain stocked and presentable
- Apply logos, branding, labels, and promotional materials to takeout bags, boxes, and packaging
- Print and laminate operational documents such as recipes, kitchen procedures, policies, and reference materials
- Photocopy, trim, and prepare forms, adjustment sheets, inserts, and internal documents
Property Audits & Brand Standards
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs to ensure menus, tent cards, posters, and promotional materials are current and in good condition
- Inspect displays for wear, creases, damage, or outdated information
- Verify promotional posters and signage are properly displayed throughout properties, including public areas and washrooms
- Report and replace outdated or damaged materials as required
Promotions & Events Support
- Assist with decorating for special events, seasonal promotions, and customer appreciation events
- Set up and remove balloons, banners, banderitas, posters, table displays, and promotional signage
- Organize, store, and maintain event decorations and promotional inventory
- Assist with event preparation, setup, and teardown
Content & Community Engagement
- Take photos and videos for promotional use when required
- Create and post employee birthday greetings on Homebase
- Post approved community updates and promotional content on platforms such as Nextdoor
- Assist with maintaining promotional calendars, whiteboard schedules, and monthly event calendars
Administrative & Office Support
- Organize banquet, marketing, and office supplies
- Maintain orderly storage areas and supply inventories
- Contact vendors and suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and service requests (e.g., printing companies, office supplies, toner and ink replenishment)
- Shred confidential documents according to company procedures
- Assist with filing, document management, and administrative projects as assigned

- Ability to lift, carry, and move marketing materials, signage, and event supplies
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platforms
