Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Serveur(euse) to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift. Experience in food service and hospitality is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Serveur(euse) will play a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed, adhering to food handling regulations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure guest needs are met promptly, addressing any concerns or special requests with professionalism
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations to uphold a safe environment for guests and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant industry preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and food handling procedures
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
