Kitchen Staff/Cook
Job Description:
A Cook is responsible for preparing food items according to recipes and standards to help the hotel
deliver exceptional food quality and consistency, thereby positively impacting the guest experience.
Responsibilities:
· Prepare food according to recipes and quality standards
· Maintain cleanliness and follow food sanitation guidelines
· Manage guest orders efficiently and courteously
· Understand the menu and food products including disclosure of allergies and food preferences
· Stock and maintain food station(s)
· Inspect food before serving
· Follow proper food handling and storage procedures according to BC food Standards
· Support Lead Cook in the preparation of orders for Suppliers efficiently an in a timely manner
· Support Lead Cook with any activity related to the consistency and presentation of our menu as well as food quality and food safety
Qualifications:
· Able to work independently without supervision
· Able to perform kitchen activities individually without supervision
· Ability to prioritize food ticket in a timely manner
· Ability to follow FIFO and food control in the kitchen
· Require food safety certification

Pay: $21.50-$22.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
