We're looking for an experienced cook to join our Cavendish team. You'll work in an open kitchen, hand-stretching Neapolitan pizzas, preparing appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, and fresh ingredients while working alongside a supportive, high-energy team.
Experience with Neapolitan pizza or wood-fired cooking is an asset, but it isn't required. If you have strong kitchen experience, we'll teach you the rest.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and fire authentic Neapolitan pizzas in our 900° wood-fired oven
- Prepare appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, and ingredients for daily service
- Set up and stock your station before service
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team during busy service periods
- Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and organization
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Help keep the kitchen stocked, organized, and ready for service
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience working in a commercial kitchen
- Is organized, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Works well as part of a team
- Takes pride in producing high-quality food
- Is available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Has reliable transportation to and from Cavendish
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar kitchen position
- Food Safety and WHMIS certifications are considered assets
- Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen equipment, and safe food handling practices
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure
