Delivery Driver (G license) – Markham, ON
Location: Markham, ON
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday | Start Time: 6:00 AM
We are currently hiring reliable and hardworking Delivery Drivers to join our team in Markham. This is a full-time position with consistent weekday work and company fleet insurance provided for trucks and drivers.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily circle checks of the vehicle and maintain daily log books
- Load delivery vehicles with required materials based on customer orders
- Secure materials properly inside the vehicle before deliveries
- Verify all materials match the bill/order before leaving
- Deliver and manually handle materials at job sites
- Bring materials inside buildings and job sites as required
- Assist with flipping materials in elevators depending on the job site
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
Vehicle Details
- The primary vehicle used will be a 20ft box/cube van
- Additional vehicles include a small F550 flatbed truck and a Ford Transit van
- Drivers may be required to operate any of these vehicles depending on the job and task requirements
Requirements
- Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs and above)
- Steel toe safety boots required at all times
- Must be reliable, physically fit, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Clean driving abstract and valid CVOR are mandatory
- Previous delivery or warehouse experience is an asset
