Dental Office is looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team. We have an opening in Windsor, ON.

Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Dental Hygienist is to ensure that patients receive optimal oral health care, including in-office dental hygiene, screening and dental sealants, and extraction. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the patients and the healthcare team to promote optimal oral health. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for making sure the office is organized, clean and that all necessary supplies are on hand. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a desire to grow in the career.
Essential Functions:
- Perform general dental hygienist duties, including, but not limited to, prepping, flossing, cleaning and polishing, brushing and nutritional counseling.
- Perform x-rays and other post-operative dental procedures.
- Assess patient’s oral health issues and provide treatment plans based on insurance coverage requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with management of their medical history.
- Develop and maintain professional patient relationships; maintain contact with patients throughout their dental experience.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to promote good oral health practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role in a clinical setting preferred but not required.
- In-depth knowledge of contemporary dental hygiene methods and techniques preferred but not required (e.g., x-rays, nutritional counseling).
- Understanding of health care policies and procedures (e.g., x-ray confidentiality) preferred but not required.
