Rate: $40/hr Inc.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Mid-Level Desktop/Server Technician to join their team on a 12-month contract. This role will focus on configuring, staging, and troubleshooting desktop and server environments within a structured deployment environment. You will work closely with a collaborative technical team to support client infrastructure and ensure high-quality system delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with team members and follow established processes and direction
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktops and servers
- Configure, image, and deploy desktop and server systems in a staging environment
- Ensure systems are properly prepared and tested prior to client delivery
- Meet project timelines and adhere to schedules and deployment standards
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Sciences OR related field
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016 and newer, Hyper-V, Windows 10 (including Redstone updates)
- 7+ years of experience with SCCM, MDT, DISM, Ghost, Microsoft Azure, Intune, PPKGs
- Extensive experience with Bash scripting and PowerShell
- VLAN tagging
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Strong team player
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required
Preferred Additional Knowledge
- TCP/UDP protocols
- Switch hardening best practices
- Network configurations (trunk, access, hybrid ports)
- SNMP, MSTP, STP
- Common ports (e.g., 80, 8080, 443, 22)

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
