Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate cook to join our busy diner in North Augusta. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the food industry, demonstrating expertise in meal preparation and food handling. Rate of pay is based on experience, starting at $20/hour.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety guidelines and health regulations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of daily specials and menu changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred, with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for handling ingredients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
