Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will manage the accurate and efficient movement of goods in and out of our facility, ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will support our commitment to quality service and timely project execution.
Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and materials for shipping
- Loading and unloading of trucks and equipment
- Help with moving and consolidating shops
- Help in the set-up and layout of new shop space
- Arrange and coordinate pick-up and drop off of fabrication materials
- Help maintain stock and consumable materials
- Performing deliveries with flat deck truck
- Help track stock and materials through purchasing and tracking software
- Maximize use of shop space and storage areas
- Work closely with shop leads to build and pick BOMS (bill of materials) and help with assembly prep
- Maintain clean shop, yard and storage areas
- Use past knowledge and experience to assist in implementation of new policies and procedures
Requirements
- Good communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Valid Class 5 drivers’ licence with the ability to drive the ITI flat deck
- Valid forklift ticket or ability to obtain one, and good forklift skills
- Must be a team player, willing to work with others in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
