What You'll Do
Working under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Occupational Therapist, you will:
- Deliver virtual occupational therapy assistant interventions using individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities through gaming platforms such as Roblox, Minecraft, and similar games.
- Support clients in developing emotional regulation, executive functioning, social communication, sensory processing, motor, and daily living skills.
- Document treatment sessions on Guardian EMR.
- Collaborate with supervising occupational therapists and participate in regular case discussions.
- Manage your own schedule and work when it fits your availability.
What You Need
- Experience working with children or youth with autism, ADHD, or other neurodivergent populations.
- A strong gaming background (Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, or similar games).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport virtually.
- Comfort using technology and learning new digital platforms.
- A computer with a reliable internet connection, webcam, and microphone for Zoom for Healthcare, plus a gaming device capable of running Roblox or other supported games.
- Experience with sensory integration, executive functioning, social-emotional learning, or feeding therapy is considered an asset. Training is provided.
- Occupational Therapy Assistant diploma from an accredited program would be great but is not mandatory.
