Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, engaging with customers and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. The position involves handling cash transactions, maintaining food safety standards, and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cashiering duties
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations
- Follow food safety and handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout shifts
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner to enhance their overall experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred and training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
- Knowledge of POS systems, is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Good time management skills to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons
