Le Comptoir by François is looking for a full-time Sous-Chef to join our team in Marda Loop.
We’re not simply looking for another cook. We’re looking for a right hand, a trusted teammate, and someone who wants to become an important part of our kitchen family.
Le Comptoir is a vegetarian café and bistro known for its house-made quiches, soups, sandwiches, desserts, and baked goods. We take pride in preparing food from scratch, using quality ingredients, and creating a warm, welcoming experience for our guests.
The successful candidate will work directly alongside Chef François and play a key role in the day-to-day operations of both our café kitchen and our production kitchen. Two days each week are dedicated to production, where we prepare soups, quiches, brioche, desserts, and other items for the café.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a café, bistro, brunch, or similar kitchen environment Is organized, reliable, and takes pride in their work Enjoys cooking from scratch and working with quality ingredients Can work independently and take initiative Is comfortable with prep, production, and service Wants a long-term position and the opportunity to grow with our business Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a close-knit team Has access to a vehicle (a definite asset, as we operate from both our café and production kitchen locations)
