Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Millwright to join our team in, ON. This full-time position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting. The preferred candidate will hold a 433A certification and possess comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing environments, including experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, CMMS, and low voltage systems. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing industrial equipment to ensure smooth operations and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics and analysis skills.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to diagnose and resolve operational problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Conduct welding, boiler maintenance, and other mechanical tasks as required.
- Assist with installation, alignment, and calibration of machinery to optimize performance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and production staff to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- Valid 433A Millwright certification is preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing settings.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, electrical systems (including low voltage), HVAC, welding, boilers, and industrial electrician practices.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Excellent analysis skills to troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Good communication skills in English for effective teamwork and documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy components, working at heights or confined spaces as necessary.
