Position Title: Caregiver / Speech Therapist (Part-Time)
Location: Brampton, ON (at private residence – Postal Code L6X 2Y9)
Hours: Weekdays, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wage: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and patient Caregiver / Speech Therapist to work one-on-one with a 6-year-old child who is currently non-verbal but fully potty trained. The role involves engaging the child in interactive and educational activities that promote communication and social development.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing attentive care and supervision at all times.
- Encouraging speech development by teaching simple words and pronunciation through play and repetition.
- Engaging in fun and interactive learning activities such as puzzles, games, and storytelling.
- Creating a supportive and nurturing environment to build confidence and communication skills.
- Collaborating with parents to ensure consistency in routines and goals.
Qualifications:
- Background or experience in speech therapy, child care, early childhood education, or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience working with children with speech or developmental delays is an asset.
- Strong English communication skills are required.
- Must be reliable, patient, and caring in approach.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time, in-home position based in Brampton. The caregiver will be required to work directly at the child’s residence.
