Job Summary
By working directly with patients and physicians the role will ensure patient scheduling, preparation, registration, and requisition management is accurate and complete. Responsibilities include coordinating internal and external communication, communication with patients and physicians and performing other clerical functions as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 education preferred or equivalent as recognized by the Province on Ontario, Ministry of Education
- Office Administration Certificate preferred
- Hospital office administration experience preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology required
- Current experience with Meditech is an asset.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated computer literacy with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel).
- Accurate keyboarding skills (minimum 50 wpm).
- Ability to complete physician OHIP billing
- Proven proficiency in registration system software and booking functions.
- Demonstrate excellence in communication, customer service, teamwork, collaboration, problem solving, individual leadership and safety awareness.
- Superior interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated appreciation and respect for protocol, professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize the workload and multi-task.
- Ability to work efficiently independently and in a teamwork environment.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday. Weekend work may be required as needed.
