Job Summary
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering roof trusses, floor packages, and various building materials to job sites in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles. Tilt Decks / Flatbeds / Truss Trailers
- Perform timely deliveries and pickups, including loading/unloading as needed
- Ensure all loads are properly secured in compliance with regulations
- Communicate with fleet manager regarding schedules, delays, and documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logbooks
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Represent Stellar Transport Corp with professionalism on the road and with customers
- Assist occasionally with equipment checks if required
What You Need:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Clean Driver’s Abstract (provide upon request)
- Physically fit – able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Experience with logbooks
- Safety-focused attitude and reliable work ethic
- Must be 25 years or older (insurance requirement)
- Experience with semis and flatbed
- Basic mechanical knowledge of trucks/trailers
