Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and dental assisting procedures, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Abeldent
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Greet patients as they arrive, schedule appointments, and handle administrative tasks related to patient care
- Support the dental team with clerical duties typical of a dental receptionist role when needed
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred, especially in orthodontics or pediatrics
- Familiarity with dental software systems like Abeldent is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential
- Experience with CAD imaging technology is a plus
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required or strongly preferred
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced clinical setting will be advantageous
