Job Overview
Projection Moulds Inc. is currently looking for a part time summer student that is motivated and eager to learn. You would be responsible for housekeeping, maintenance and assisting tool makers through out the summer months. Learning how to navigate a fast paced manufacturing environment while also learning a little about our trade.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall cleanliness of the shop
- Lubricate machines and fill lubrication tanks
- Test and adjust oil levels of coolant, adding coolant to machines as needed
- Preform weekly maintenance tasks on equipment
- Troubleshoot problems with equipment and assist in repairing them
- Report major repairs or problems to management
- Package spare items and tools for shipping internationally
- Take pictures of incoming and Outgoing shipments
- Assist in bringing in and storing supplies
- Assist Tool makers in daily activities
Qualifications
0-1 years of experience in an industrial environment
- Currently enrolled as a student or recent graduate with an Mould Making and or metal working
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Experience in cleaning and industrial hygiene practices
Abilities
The ability to:
· Safely lift up to 50 lbs
· Work independently and with others
· Communicate effectively
· Learn on the job
The role is performed in an industrial environment.
