Residential Electrician (309A) Journeyman
Job Summary:
McNair Electric is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a full-time electrician. The ideal candidate would; have a strong work ethic, ability to work independently, adapt to changing work environments, polite and personable with clients, punctual, and the ability to troubleshoot and make on-site decisions.
Job Duties (required but not limited to):
- Demonstrates commitment to safety in the workplace
- Comfortable working in a high end residential setting
- Install wiring and electrical components in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and the Electrical Safety Authority codes and standards
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and malfunctioning systems and in turn repair and correct any issues that have been encountered
- Must ensure all finished work is completed to the company’s standard, the site drawings and electrical building codes
- Manages inventory of material and ensures the accurate billing of time and material to clients
- Works well in a team environment
- Strong written, oral communications, and organization skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work
- Willingness to learn and pursue ongoing education

Salary Range: Competitive wage based on individual’s level of experience

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Must hold a valid 309A electrical license for the province of Ontario
- Must have a valid G Class Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract
