Hi-Tech Design Canada Ltd., a residential design & drafting company has an opportunity to join its design and drafting team.
The candidate will be a positive, multitasking and self motivated in busy environment.
The candidate will be responsible all drafting and efficiently managing daily drafting duties.
The successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage and professionally interact with design professionals and consultants.
Responsibilities:
· Ensuring all blueprints leaving the department are accurate and meet all city bylaws.
· Design plans using computer-aided design and drafting (Auto CAD Architecture) software
· Create and maintain all specifications for the projects.
· Add details to architectural plans from their knowledge of building techniques
· Develop new and innovative floor plans.
· Analyze designs, prepare sketches and provide detailed drawings and documentation for projects
· Identifying needs and areas of concerns in the look ahead plan/schedule and communicating these to the appropriate persons
· Ability to intelligently communicate with internal team members and clients
Qualifications:
· Knowledge & Experience of Alberta Building Codes (9.36 Energy Details), City bylaws and regulations
· Proficient in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Architecture software.
· Solid working knowledge of Building assemblies, design and construction detailing.
· A minimum 2 years of experience
· Be willing to make judgment calls while meeting standards of quality and service.
