Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, delivering high-quality food to our guests, and maintaining excellent food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and providing exceptional food service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to food handling regulations
- Set up workstations with all necessary supplies and ingredients for meal service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Assist in plating dishes for service, ensuring timely delivery to guests
- Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure guest safety
- Support team members during busy hours to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, and cooking within a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
- Ability to perform meal preparation efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent skills in food industry practices, including proper sanitation and safety protocols
- Proven experience with kitchen operations, including working with various kitchen equipment
- Good understanding of restaurant service flow and guest expectations
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required
