We are seeking a reliable and experienced Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a variety of automotive and mechanical systems in a fast-paced environment ensuring safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on experience with various tools and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance using tools, and specialized equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
- Assist with heavy lifting and mechanical tasks requiring physical strength and endurance
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Communicate with management regarding repair timelines and equipment status
Qualifications
- Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification required
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
