The Role
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, usability, and performance of the Peregrine platform, including its Accelerate, Insights, Migrate, and Classify modules.
This role is responsible for validating new features, identifying defects before release, and helping evolve our quality assurance practices from primarily manual testing toward a scalable, automation-driven approach. You'll work closely with our product and development teams to understand requirements, customer feedback, and real-world use cases while helping ensure every release meets a high standard of quality.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys thinking critically, exploring complex systems, uncovering issues others may miss, and championing quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Through hands-on testing, process improvements, and automation initiatives, you'll help shape the future of a growing SaaS platform.
What You'll Do
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Execute manual test cases for new features, product releases, and regression testing cycles.
- Develop and maintain structured test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
- Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and usability testing across the platform.
- Validate functionality across Peregrine modules, integrations, and customer workflows.
- Prepare and manage test data and test environments to support testing activities.
- Participate in release readiness reviews and quality sign-off activities.
Defect Management & Validation
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track software defects through resolution.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, troubleshoot, and validate defect fixes.
- Verify fixes across impacted functionality and ensure regression risks are mitigated.
- Contribute to improving defect reporting standards and quality metrics.
Test Automation
- Create and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Assist in transitioning manual testing processes into scalable automated testing frameworks.
- Identify opportunities to increase automation and reduce repetitive testing effort.
- Support the integration of automated tests into development and release workflows.
API & Data Validation
- Verify API functionality, integrations, and data migration processes.
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across workflows.
- Support testing for large-scale content migration, classification, and governance scenarios.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with product, development, and customer success teams to understand requirements and customer needs.
- Ensure customer-reported issues are thoroughly tested, documented, and validated.
- Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Leverage modern tools, AI capabilities, and industry best practices to improve testing effectiveness.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in software quality, release processes, and QA standards.
- Help establish repeatable and scalable quality assurance practices across the organization.
- Stay current on emerging testing methodologies, tooling, and automation trends.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong experience with manual testing, including:
- • Test case design
- Functional testing
- Regression testing
- Exploratory testing
- Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Experience testing SaaS applications and web-based software.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and project management platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
- Understanding of API testing methodologies and tools such as Postman, Swagger, or comparable platforms.
- Experience working with Git and modern software development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication, documentation, and defect reporting abilities.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to software quality.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Adaptability, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint Embedded, or related Microsoft technologies.
- Experience testing file migration, records management, document management, or information governance solutions.
- Experience validating large-scale data processing, classification, or migration workflows.
- Experience helping organizations transition from manual testing to automated testing practices.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment testing.
- Familiarity with AI-powered applications and machine learning-based classification tools.
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
